Subsidies from Health Insurances
You are practically free to select the health resort and accommodations in consultation with your doctor.
Since the entry of the East European countries to the EU (including Poland and the Czech Republic), the German health insurance carriers subsidize stays at a health resort or wellness trips to these countries under certain conditions. Subsidies will however only be granted with retroactive effect, provided the treatment has been approved by the insurer beforehand. Your health resort hotel will provide you with a detailed statement of all treatments received.
